Chilean authorities arrested six people associated with a drug gang that uses drones to deliver illegal contraband to prisons. Chilean authorities are concerned about the growing number of illegal contraband being delivered to prisons by drones. Correctional officials stopped an attempted entry of heroin through a drone into the Bayamón 292 institution, reported the secretary of the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation (DCR). The move is part of a DCR strategic plan to counter the entry of contraband into the island's prisons, which also resulted in the seizure of another drone at the Ponce Máxima correctional institution. According to images shared by the DCR, correctional officers also seized several cell phones.

Correctional Service Canada reported that staff intercepted multiple packages on Collins Bay Correctional Institution’s perimeter that contained contraband and unauthorized items. The items seized included tobacco and a large quantity of drugs, as well as cellphone accessories. The total estimated institutional value of the seizure is $30,900, a news release said.
Way Hui + Rajabasa penitentiaries
Narcotics Directorate investigators arrested a suspected drug smuggler, who was identified as MUS, at his house in the Karang Anyar district. Two men were caught delivering narcotics via a drone for the second time into Warren Correctional Institution in Lebanon, Ohio USA. In the first instance, the drone contained narcotics and mobile phones. The package was covered with turf in an attempt to camouflage and conceal when dropped. The drone had footages of the drone dropping packages in Warren Correctional Institution as well as two other prisons in Mansfield and Chillicothe.

Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested two men after they were caught red-handed collecting a heavy cache of arms and ammunitions from a spot along the India-Pakistan International Border. The arms and ammunition were smuggled from the other side of the border with the help of drones.

Drug-drone catches drug squad off guard. Police seized a drone carrying 60 grammes of cannabis that was spotted hovering in Ayios Dhometios, Nicosia near the crossing point. Police were tipped off by a resident who noticed the drone and a suspicious package dangling from the machine. With checkpoints being closed may have spurred smugglers to resort to other methods, as was seen with the drug-drone.
The Surete du Quebec, Sherbrooke police department, Correctional Services of the Quebec Ministry of Public Security and Transport Canada spotted an UAV inside the prison perimeter. Police were able to locate a drone with a package full of hashish.

Gardaí (Ireland National Police) arrest man near prison in possession of drone, drugs, and mobile phones. Gardaí seized a drone along with a package containing mobile phones, chargers and quantities of crack cocaine, cocaine, and cannabis. The consignment of drugs was valued at €5,000.

Australian prison guards put a stop to drone drug drop at the Port Phillip Prison in Melbourne. Staff at the maximum-security facility uncovered the plan with what appeared to be blades, mobile phones, and illegal drugs being dropped in. Prison officers of La Joyita Prison in Panama spotted multiple packages dropped by drones into the prison compound on several days. Custody officers at the Guerrero Prison in Aguadilla intercepted a package containing drugs that they were trying to introduce into the prison through a “drone”. Officers spotted a Black “drone” on the field of Building 8 of the aforementioned Institution with two bags of cocaine, four bags of marijuana, 50 suboxone, and 100 pills. Minutes later, a package with transparent adhesive tape, another bag with marijuana sting, 10 suboxone, two bags of Cocaine and seven “decks” of Heroin were found in the same place.

1 fugitive on 3
Prison security of Penitenciaria La Reforma in San Rafael spotted a drone flying overhead of the prison grounds and noticed that it was carrying some tennis-sized circular objects. The payload, which turned out to be narcotics, were intercepted when it was released from the drone. The drugs were believed to be a scheduled delivery to the inmates. Two suspects were apprehended, with the third one escaping from the scene.

A member of the public found a crashed drone 300m away from Sydney's Long Bay Correctional Complex and reported the incident to the authorities. The drone was found carrying prescription drugs, buprenorphine, a SIM card and other electronic items.

Cannabis felt from the israelian sky, after a drone released hundreds of bags of the drug over central Tel Aviv. People rushed out into the busy street to collect the packets, dropped by a group called «Green Drone» according to the main newspaper The Jerusalem Post.
